I haven’t taught the Yoga Therapy for the Mind Eight Week Course for Stress, Anxiety and Depression in a while but one of my favourite elements of it was always the week where we used our increased mindful awareness to pay particular attention to a part of the body that felt GOOD.
Pleasure even, in any given pose.
Pain takes up so much of our attention and focus.
How does it feel right now, to mentally scan your whole body and notice where you feel GOOD.

What might bring you MORE pleasure today and moving forward?
I wrote about my lessons and blessings from my year in advance of my birthday yesterday and choosing PLEASURE as my transpersonal quality for the year ahead feels SO indulgent and decadent and almost shameful (but have done so much work with so much shame I don’t CARE).
Whatever quality you’re drawn to, let yourself embody PLEASURE today.
Eat something delicious.
Enjoy a long hug.
Immerse yourself in a decadent bath or shower.
Notice the delicious warmth when you come back in from out of the cold.
Or the freshness of the air when you go out INTO the cold!
A sea swim doesn’t do it for everyone but find YOUR equivalent of the pure JOY and PLEASURE I get from being underwater (and then back on land warm and dry and limbs no longer threatening to run away from me).
