Would you describe yourself as intuitive?
Maybe you worked hard at developing your intuition?
Maybe it feels so much a part of you, it’s always been there?
Maybe, if you have a trauma history (especially CPTSD), you understand that Tiny You HAD to learn to read the adults you depended on for life in order to stay as safe as possible?
Or maybe, as you’re learning to befriend your ADHD brain, you realise that certain tasks made so little sense ‘logically’ that it was your intuition that helped you navigate so much of life?
3 small steps to better intuition
1) Something as simple as tuning into your body as you wait for your train platform / airport gate etc to be announced or even ‘guessing’ which side the doors of the train will open at certain stations is a simple way to start tuning into the body and using all the senses to connect with that inner knowing. You might even do it with your phone, tuning into what or who you think that ping is indicating
2) Using oracle cards (or stones or any divination tool that resonates for you) can be another way to listen to your OWN interpretations before reading the written down meanings. Give yourself permission to know what you already know
3) Create safety for yourself. Baby You and Younger You may have been forced into intuitive mode for survival but right now, you get to choose this beneficial way of moving through the world (when appropriate) and having it be an enjoyable, safe, grounded and centred process.
Grab your journal or any pen and paper and let yourself write or draw (or doodle! This is for your eyes only) something you KNOW even if you don’t know how you know
