On this day of drafting this post, grounding our work with the chakra that links so much to doing what feels good, going with the flow and ENJOYING our lives and our bodies, I was STUCK. So stuck. Cranky McCrankface. And an earlier draft reminded me to STOP.
Do what felt good (the gentlest knee and shoulder friendly yoga and physio) and then take the new Marian Keyes book, My Favourite Mistake (Anna!!!) back to bed and when I'd cheered myself up enough, taking a nap with Rainbow MagnifiCat on my heart, soothing me a little (a lot).
When I woke up, I truly felt refreshed and where I'd given myself permission to not bother with my walk today because I'd been feeling SO icky, I suddenly couldn't wait to get out there and walk that usual 5km.
My point in sharing this is that my WORK, my PRACTICE, my LIFE has been all about self and Self care for decades now (I've been doing this as work for coming up to 20 years in September) and even NOW, I sometimes struggle to do the thing I need to do when that thing is to REST.
